A Classic Summer Wedding in the West Midlands | August 2025
On 24th August 2025, I had the absolute pleasure of creating the wedding flowers and styling for Hannah and Elliot at the beautiful Pendrell Hall.
From the very beginning, Hannah’s vision was romantic, soft and luxurious. She was drawn to blush pinks, gentle creams and classic whites, and she wanted the overall styling to feel elegant and grand without losing that softness that makes a wedding feel personal.
Pendrell Hall is such a stunning venue to work in. The warm wooden detailing and elegant interiors naturally suit classic floral styling, so everything I designed was carefully considered to enhance that beauty rather than overpower it.
There were around 80 guests during the day, which meant the space needed to feel full and impressive, while still warm and inviting.

The Couple’s Brief
Hannah’s key requests were clear and beautifully simple:
A blush pink and soft cream colour palette
Statement table centrepieces with a romantic feel
Fresh floral arrangements for the ceremony, fireplace,e and registrar’s table
Romantic hand-tied bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets
]
One important detail for Hannah and Elliot was that although the table centrepieces were silk flowers, they wanted fresh florals for the fireplace arrangement and for the top table.
That balance allowed us to create impact throughout the room, while keeping the most meaningful areas filled with the scent and softness of fresh blooms.
The overall look needed to feel timeless, abundant and classic.

My Floral Design Approach
Hannah showed me a few examples of flowers and styles she liked, and from there, I led the design to create something completely bespoke for her wedding day.
The main focal flower I chose was the beautiful Sweet Avalanche rose. These soft pink Dutch roses are full, elegant and open perfectly. They are ideal when you want a romantic, luxury feel and they photograph beautifully.
To build depth and softness around them, I included:
Spray roses for texture
Lisianthus for delicate movement
Seasonal textures for interest
Eucalyptus for softness
Soft ruscus foliage for structure
The blush tones worked perfectly against the rich wooden interiors of Pendrell Hall. The flowers softened the space and brought a gentle, romantic warmth into the ceremony and ballroom.
Every flower was chosen with intention. I always think about how a bloom will open, how it will sit within a bouquet, and how it will look in photographs. It is never just about colour. It is about balance, texture and atmosphere.
Bridal Party Flowers
The bridal flowers were designed in a romantic hand-tied style, full of soft movement and natural flow.
I created:
Hannah’s bridal bouquet
Four bridesmaids’ bouquets
Buttonholes for the groom and groomsmen
Corsages for the mums, which is such a lovely tradition
The bouquets felt feminine and timeless. They were full without being heavy, and soft without feeling loose. Bridal flowers are such an important part of the day. They are held close, photographed constantly and remembered forever, so they have to feel just right.

Ceremony Styling
For the ceremony space, I designed fresh floral arrangements for:
The registrar’s table
The fireplace
The fireplace flowers were abundant and romantic, framing the couple beautifully as they said their vows. The soft blush and cream tones against the venue’s natural wood created a stunning focal point.
One of my favourite details was the fresh floral arrangement at the bottom of the staircase. Positioned perfectly for when Hannah walked down, it created a beautiful photographic moment and added an extra layer of elegance to the entrance.
I also provided flowers for the wedding cake and placed them onto the cake myself on the day. This is something I always prefer to do personally, as it ensures the flowers sit perfectly and feel like a natural extension of the overall styling.
The Ballroom Transformation
When guests entered the ballroom for the wedding breakfast, they were greeted with grand blush pink centrepieces that instantly elevated the space.
The combination of silk and fresh flowers worked seamlessly together. The silk centrepieces provided height and consistency across the tables, while the fresh florals at key focal points brought fragrance, softness and natural beauty.
To complete the romantic luxury feel, we added:
Soft pink chiffon chair drapes
A personalised wedding welcome sign
A decorative postbox
These finishing touches tied everything together and reinforced the classic, elegant atmosphere Hannah had imagined.
The florals truly added that wow factor to the room, while still feeling refined and timeless.

The Final Result
This wedding came together beautifully. The colour palette, the textures, the scale of the centrepieces and the softness of the bouquets all worked in harmony.
Hannah and Elliot received so many compliments about their décor and how stunning everything looked. Hearing that guests noticed the details is always incredibly special.
For me, it is about more than just arranging flowers. It is about listening carefully, guiding couples with experience, and thoughtfully selecting every bloom and placement to bring their vision to life.
Kind Words from Hannah
After the wedding, Hannah sent me this message:
“The flowers were absolutely beautiful and you really bought my vision to life. The decor for the wedding breakfast and ceremony room was absolutely perfect and had so many compliments on how it looked. Thank you so much for all your help and working your magic to bring everything together perfectly on our big day.”
Messages like this mean everything. It is why I care so deeply about every wedding I am part of.

Honestly, this was a great and easy read with useful points. The connection between focus and reaction speed made me think of gaming instantly. In rhythm-based gameplay, those skills become very important. You can experience that directly by trying to play Geometry Dash SubZero online and testing your reflexes.
